SIGMA THETA TAU INTERNATIONAL

Stanford Nursing had strong representation at the 29th Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Nursing Research Congress in Melbourne, Australia. With over 40 countries in attendance, Dale E. Beatty, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President for Patient Care Services, was invited to speak at one of the Plenary Sessions.  He spoke on "Developing Change Agents in an Ever-Evolving Healthcare Delivery System".

 

The SHC Center for Education and Professional Development led by Garrett Chan, PhD, RN, FAAN, gave a presentation at one of the Evidence-Based Practice Symposiums on "Bridging the Theory-to-Practice Gap: An Innovative Approach Through Situated Thinking and Action".   Garrett was joined by four Nursing Professional Development Specialists at Stanford Health Care: Erin McCalley, MS, RN, CCNS, CCRN; Edward Burns, MSN, RN, PCCN-K; Lisa Muniz, MSN, MBA, RN; and Gisso Oreo, MSN, RN, CMSRN
